On Sunday, June 14, 2026, the Gardena Buddhist Church welcomes the Grateful Crane Ensemble for their localized performance of Living Gratitude: A Musical Journey — Celebrating 125 Years of the Buddhist Churches of America (BCA). Crafted by executive producer Soji Kashiwagi, this production weaves a 125-year history through music and acted vignettes featuring Haruye Ioka, Keiko Kawashima, Merv Maruyama, and Ping Wu. First performed at the 2024 BCA National Council Meeting, this highly requested tour was commissioned nationally so that every generation in our district can experience Living Gratitude firsthand.
